Dear Mother,
There will be days when you wonder if you’re doing enough.
Enough for your children.
Enough for your family.
Enough for yourself.
There will be moments when you lose your patience, question your decisions, or wonder whether you are giving your children the kind of mother they deserve.
I hope you remember this:
You don’t have to be a perfect mother.
You simply have to keep showing up.
Motherhood has taught me that success isn’t always measured by achievements, titles, or accomplishments.
Sometimes success looks like being there.
Listening.
Apologizing when you are wrong.
Trying again tomorrow.
Holding your child’s hand when they are afraid.
Celebrating the little things.
Teaching them to be curious.
Teaching them that mistakes don’t make them failures.
My children have changed the way I think about success.
They remind me that what we build isn’t only about what we accomplish for ourselves. It is also about what we leave behind in the people we love.
I want my children to remember that their mother kept learning.
That she stayed curious.
That she wasn’t afraid to admit when she was wrong.
That she chose growth over pride.
And most importantly, that she loved them enough to keep showing up.
So if today you feel like you’re failing, take a breath.
Look at how far you’ve already come.
You are learning too.
And maybe that is one of the most important things you can teach your children:
That none of us has to have everything figured out.
We simply keep learning.
We keep growing.
We keep finding the next piece.
With love,
Kezia
